About Shanney 

Hi, I’m Shanney, an artist based in Kentucky. I love painting moments that feel meaningful, whether it’s a special memory, a beautiful landscape, or something simple from everyday life.

 

My work blends realism with loose, expressive brushwork, focusing on capturing both the details and the feeling of a moment. I’m especially drawn to soft colors, natural light, and scenes that feel warm and a little nostalgic.

I also create live paintings at weddings, capturing a moment from the celebration as it unfolds. Guests often enjoy watching the painting develop throughout the evening as the scene gradually comes to life on the canvas.

 

Outside of weddings, I create commissioned paintings as well as florals, landscapes, and other pieces inspired by nature and everyday moments.
